Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Imam Nadim reminded us that lasting achievement comes from doing good that benefits others, including raising righteous children who make dua for their parents. Children are a trust from Allah, and their upbringing begins from birth as they watch and absorb what we do. Teaching faith means modeling prayer, honesty, patience, and good manners in everyday life. Discipline includes teaching useful habits, setting boundaries, and helping children understand their mistakes. Fathers and mothers share this responsibility, and schools and masjids support the essential work at home as we prepare children to build caring, responsible families of their own.

  1. What is one good habit you have learned by watching someone in our family?
  2. What responsibility could you take on at home, and what help would you need?
  3. When you make a mistake, what helps you understand it and make things right?
