“they do pay out charity from that which we have provided for them in secret and in public”
“that we think about our hereafter more than we chase this dunya which we all know we're gonna leave it behind”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us that this life is temporary and that we will one day meet Allah. It described reciting the Quran, praying well, and giving charity as a profitable trade that never loses. We were encouraged to make regular time for the Quran, learn the Prophet’s way of praying, teach our families, and give from what Allah has entrusted to us. The khateeb warned us not to let money, family, and worldly competition distract us from the hereafter, while also asking the community to pray for people who are sick.
- What is one good deed you could treat as an investment with Allah this week?
- What helps you remember Allah when school, work, or entertainment becomes distracting?
- How can our family improve our prayer or Quran routine together?
