For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah alone is the true King and Owner of everything. Human leadership is a trust, so leaders should serve people with justice, mercy, and humility rather than seek domination. We were encouraged to protect freedom of conscience, speak up peacefully when people are harmed, and take citizenship seriously. The sermon also reminded us that our children, our homes, and the earth are trusts from Allah, not possessions we can treat carelessly. We can live this message by serving neighbors, helping people in need, and standing firmly for truth with good character.

  1. What is one way we can serve instead of trying to control others?
  2. Where do you see people needing justice or mercy in our community?
  3. What is one trust from Allah that you can care for better this week?
