For the dinner table

The khutbah invites us to notice two blessings: the freedom to worship Allah and the gift of Islam itself. Money, homes, education, and status are shared by many people, while Islam gives Muslims their deepest identity and hope beyond this life. Gratitude should appear in worship, learning, charity, service, and in teaching children through our example. The speaker especially warns parents to prepare young Muslims for university pressures by taking Islamic knowledge seriously. The khutbah closes by calling the community to support Muslim causes and remain grateful for Islam.

  1. How can our family show that Islam is more important than money or status?
  2. What is one way we can learn Islam more methodically this week?
  3. What kind of spiritual increase would we hope to see in ourselves?
