For the dinner table

The khateeb welcomed the community to Jumu'ah and the new Hijri year, 1448. He taught that Muharram is one of four sacred months, a month Allah has specially honored, and he encouraged everyone to begin the year with a fresh spiritual page. He reminded us that Allah selects certain times for extra blessing, like Jumu'ah and Ramadan, and that the best fast after Ramadan is in Muharram. He also urged parents to bring their children to the masjid, especially during summer, so they learn their faith and feel at home in the house of Allah. Finally, he asked the community to pray for a brother who passed away and for all our deceased.
