For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us to honor the sahaba, the companions of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. The khateeb explained that a companion met the Prophet as a believer and died upon Islam, even if their time together was brief. He encouraged us to learn from their faith and understanding, describing their example as a protection during trials and a guide through disagreements. He explained their special standing by recalling their loyalty through hardship and the great value of even their small acts of charity. He also urged us to avoid insulting them and to defend their honor, including those who accepted Islam later.
