Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that every blessing, from faith and health to food, shelter, and family, comes from Allah. We show gratitude not only by saying alhamdulillah, but also through our hearts and our actions. The speaker urged us to care for our parents, help the poor, and make sure our families keep their prayers. He also warned that sin and greed can cause blessings and provision to be lost, so we should stay close to Allah's guidance. We can begin this week by thanking Allah, serving someone in need, checking on an elder, and praying together at home.

  1. What blessing from Allah are you most thankful for today, and how can you show that gratitude?
  2. How could we help an older relative or neighbor this week?
  3. What can our family do to make prayer easier to protect together?
