For the dinner table

The khateeb compared life to an escalator: we keep moving, and one day we will reach its end. He asked us to think about the good we leave behind, explaining that the effects of our actions can continue after we are gone. He highlighted ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a pious child who prays for a parent who has died. He reminded parents to teach with love and compassion and to be present when their children need support. He encouraged everyone to discover their talents, use them for Allah’s sake, and take action. Our legacy can begin close to home, through kindness and service that bring comfort to our family and community.
