For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us of the special connection between Friday and reciting Suratul Kahab. The khateeb taught that faith should be followed by righteous action, especially prayer, remembrance of Allah, patience, and other good deeds. He encouraged us to take a few minutes before sleeping to think about our day and ask Allah for forgiveness. He also reminded us that Allah is never unjust and generously multiplies the reward for good deeds. We should therefore keep trying to obey Allah, strengthen our faith, and make Him happy through sincere action.
