For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that good times are also an opportunity to turn toward Allah and thank Him. The khateeb encouraged us to pause in our everyday choices and ask what Allah wants from us. Through the example of a shopkeeper making time for salah, he explained that provision includes prayer and blessings, not just money. He reminded us that focusing on the akhirah, the life to come, can help us feel content with what we have. As a family, we can put these reminders into practice by supporting one another in prayer, learning from scholars, and using our blessings to serve Allah.

  1. What is one blessing you could show gratitude for through an action tomorrow?
  2. How could we help each other make time for salah on a busy day?
  3. What would you like to learn about our deen together?
