For the dinner table

Imam Saad reminded us that being safe and able to pray and practice our religion is a blessing from Allah. Gratitude means noticing these gifts, saying alhamdulillah, and using what we have to do good. We can show thanks by caring for our bodies, using our skills to help others, and strengthening our daily prayers and connection to the masjid. When we notice someone who has more, we can ask Allah to bless them and remember the gifts in our own lives. When we make mistakes, regret can be a reminder to turn back to Allah and take action through prayer and good deeds.

  1. What is one everyday blessing you noticed today, and how could you thank Allah for it?
  2. What skill could you use this week to help someone?
  3. When you feel bad about a mistake, what good action could you take next?
