For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that every time we recite Surah Al-Fatiha, we ask Allah to guide us along the straight path. Taking Allah as our wali means treating Him as our guardian and ally, while refusing Shaytan’s false promises. We begin with the basics: establish salah, pay zakah, and hold firmly to Allah. Like Prophet Yusuf, we can respond to hardship by noticing Allah’s gifts, practicing gratitude, and becoming content with what He gives. The sermon offered hope that Allah will be with those who turn to Him in this life and at the time of death.
