Death & the hereafterFrom the masjid's own video, Jun 13, 2026.
Live knowing every deed will be judged
“All of us have an opportunity to ensure that our book of deeds is full of Iman.”
In one sentence
Because every word and deed will be exposed and judged, believers should live with constant accountability, prioritizing faith, worship, ethical relationships, and service over money or status.
The khutbah in 6 steps
- Introduces Surah al-Haqqah’s image of every person receiving a record of deeds.
- Explains how the right-hand record represents faith, righteous deeds, and salvation.
- Contrasts this with the left-hand record, regret, punishment, and wasted worldly priorities.
- Identifies broken relationships with Allah and people as causes of loss.
- Applies the reminder to prayer, worship, family responsibilities, character, and ethical choices.
- Closes with supplications for mercy, paradise, and relief for suffering Muslims, including Gaza.
