For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that life is a test of how we see: what appears to cause things in this world is still under Allah's command. Iman is a light in the heart that helps us see beyond appearances and trust Allah without abandoning responsible effort. We should use work, money, and other means, but never treat them as independent sources of benefit or harm. In daily dealings, especially business, we should be honest, fair, easygoing, and faithful to our agreements. The goal is to choose Allah's commands over our desires and build a life oriented toward the Hereafter.

  1. What is one thing we use every day without forgetting that Allah ultimately controls it?
  2. When is it hardest to choose what Allah wants over what we want?
  3. How can we show honesty and kindness in our buying or selling this week?
