For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that real freedom is not doing whatever we want. It is choosing to depend on Allah, so we are not controlled by wealth, social approval, fear, or our own desires. The speaker described this as a lifelong struggle with the nafs and said prayer, fasting, charity, and trust in Allah’s decree help us stay free. He urged us to guard our minds, let the Quran and Sunnah shape our values, and make worship our anchor. When we remember that our provision and time of death are in Allah’s wisdom, we can live with less fear and regret.
