The khutbah teaches that Ar-Rahman means Allah is intensely merciful. Our worship should grow beyond fear and obligation into love and a desire to draw close to Him. Life is temporary, but it is also a gift and a test through which we can seek Allah’s pleasure. On the Day of Judgment, worldly relationships will not save us, but Allah’s mercy gives us hope. Ramadan invites us to fast, pray, and build that loving relationship with Allah.
