For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah invited us to see the Prophet’s sunnah as a source of mercy. The khateeb described the journey in which the prayers were reduced from fifty to five, emphasizing the Prophet’s concern for his community. He reminded us to show mercy to one another as we practice our faith. He also spoke about worship as a way to thank Allah for what He has given us. We can keep growing by doing manageable good deeds consistently, while remembering that we depend on Allah’s mercy.

  1. What is one blessing you want to thank Allah for today, and how could you show that thanks?
  2. How could we help each other pray with more kindness and encouragement?
  3. What small good deed would you like to make a regular part of your week?
