The khateeb reminded us that this life is temporary and that our deepest purpose is to seek Allah's pleasure and prepare for the hereafter. We each have different tests, so we should focus on our own responsibilities instead of comparing ourselves with others. We should try to help people who are suffering, strengthen our connection with Allah, and trust that His justice will come. Even small acts of goodness matter, including giving whatever little we can in charity. The khutbah encouraged us to guard against worldly distractions and shaitan through prayer, seeking Allah's protection, maintaining wudu, and choosing good company, and to keep returning to prayer even after mistakes.
