For the dinner table

This khutbah closed a long series about why we believe Islam is true. The khateeb brought together earlier discussions about Allah, the Prophet Muhammad, and the Qur’an, comparing the evidences to arrows pointing toward the same truth. His final focus was on how Islam guides daily life through justice, care for vulnerable people, responsibility within families, and mercy toward animals. He reminded us that honor comes from piety and goodness, and that wealth brings a responsibility to give the poor their due. He also explained how faith and understanding prepared people to change their habits, and ended by praying for guidance for our families and the wider community.

  1. How can we help someone feel welcome when their background is different from ours?
  2. What is one way our family can show kindness to animals this week?
  3. What good habit would you like to build, and how could understanding its purpose help you?
