For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that angels make dua for believers and that certain everyday acts invite their prayers. We were encouraged to sleep with wudu, pray for Muslims, give from what Allah has provided, visit the sick, fast, join the first rows, remain after prayer, and send blessings on the Prophet. Teaching beneficial things also brings prayers from Allah, the angels, and creation. When we sin, sincere repentance brings the prayers of the angels who carry Allah's Throne for us and our families. We should turn these reminders into small, regular acts of worship and kindness.

  1. Which practice inviting the angels' dua could our family begin this week?
  2. Who could we pray for or visit this week?
  3. What beneficial thing could you teach someone else?
