For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that sharing the message of Allah and His Messenger begins with answering that call ourselves. The khateeb explained that everyday acts of obedience matter, including coming to Jumu'ah and setting business aside. He used straight prayer rows, standing shoulder to shoulder, and silencing phones as examples of caring for our community and respecting the masjid. He encouraged us to take our own responsibilities seriously and do our best to follow what we have been commanded. He ended by asking Allah to forgive our mistakes, accept our fasting and worship, and help us worship with greater excellence.
