For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us to care for our own faith and help our families grow closer to Allah. The khateeb emphasized three things to teach children: the oneness and greatness of Allah, regular prayer, and good character. He encouraged starting young and helping children build a loving connection with prayer, even while they are still learning. He explained that faith and prayer should become something children value for themselves, so those habits continue when parents are not around. Through examples of the Prophet's kindness to children, he showed how affection and patient guidance can go together.
