For the dinner table

Life is a precious gift, and Allah did not create us without a purpose. Our purpose is to live according to His commands, so ordinary work and responsibilities can become worship when done rightly. Because we do not know when life will end, we should prepare every day, control our desires, and keep the Hereafter ahead of temporary worldly gains. We should fulfill our duties to Allah and to people, including parents, spouses, relatives, and colleagues. Prayer, Quran recitation, remembrance, charity, and seeking forgiveness are valuable opportunities to seek Allah's pleasure.

  1. What is one ordinary thing you do that could become ibadah?
  2. If today might be your last day, what good deed would you prioritize?
  3. Which small opportunity to remember Allah can you practice this week?
