For the dinner table

The khutbah asks us to imagine what made Medina such a strong and beautiful community. We can build that kind of community by standing for what is right while treating people with dignity and wisdom. We should also look for ways to help others, whether through money, knowledge, tutoring, job connections, or simple introductions. Even though we cannot live alongside the Prophet, we can learn his life, follow his sunnah, teach our children about him, and send blessings upon him. Every person has something meaningful to give.

  1. What is one useful thing you could give or teach someone this week?
  2. How can we stand up for someone without embarrassing or humiliating them?
  3. What is one story or quality from the Prophet's life you would like to learn more about?
