For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that this life is temporary and that our choices matter for the hereafter. He encouraged us to remember that we will stand before Allah and to let that awareness guide how we pray and treat others. Planning and working toward our goals are part of life, with pleasing Allah as our greatest objective. Tawakkul means doing what we can and then trusting Allah, even when we cannot understand the outcome. He also asked us to make sincere du'a for the wider ummah, especially our brothers and sisters facing distress in Palestine, Lebanon, and elsewhere.

  1. What is one everyday choice you could make with pleasing Allah in mind?
  2. When something feels uncertain, what can you do before leaving the outcome to Allah?
  3. Who beyond our family could we remember in our du'a tonight?
