Allah provides many ways to erase sins

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“Waqf means that you do something in the dunya. That after you die, it's subhanallah, the word is continuous.”
“As long as, brother Ikram, we have this waqf and this endowment, the reward is continuous.”
“So this is one of the means for the sins to be forgiven.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah explains that Allah gives people many ways for sins to be forgiven across this life, the grave, and the Day of Judgment. We should turn back to Allah, ask forgiveness, do good deeds, and stay close to righteous people. We can also leave ongoing charity, such as supporting a mosque, people of knowledge, orphans, or a well, whose reward continues after death. Even while taking accountability seriously, we should never despair of Allah’s mercy and the help He may grant through intercession.
- Who could we support with a kindness that continues helping after we are gone?
- What is one good deed or act of repentance we can begin this week?
- How can we make things easier for a grieving family?
