For the dinner table

The khateeb encouraged us to keep growing in our faith instead of becoming satisfied with doing the minimum. He reminded us that we often make detailed plans for school, work, or other interests, and we can bring that same effort to preparing for the hereafter. Learning what we recite in prayer is one example of meaningful growth that other people may never see. We can set a spiritual goal, take small daily steps, and learn from people who inspire us to do more good. He also encouraged us to use our talents to help the ummah, giving our lives a purpose that reaches beyond our own comfort.
