For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that frightening power can look unbeatable, but Allah can open a way when hope seems gone. Through Musa and Pharaoh, and through Talut, Jalut, and young Dawud, the speaker says believers should trust Allah and remain sincere even when the faithful group is small. He warns that repeated images of suffering, especially in Gaza, can make hearts numb, so Muslims should stay present, feel others’ pain, and refuse to accept their dehumanization. We can begin with honest prayers, words of solidarity, charity, and whatever support we are able to give. Even when relief is delayed, Allah promises justice, and every tear, prayer, and good deed is rewarded.

  1. When have you found hope during a difficult situation?
  2. How can our family show solidarity with people who are suffering?
  3. What is one helpful thing we can do this week instead of feeling helpless?
