For the dinner table

Imam Hesham Alaghbari reminded us that being a good Muslim and a good Canadian can go together. Islam should shape our whole lives: our prayers, our work, our choices, our honesty, and the way we serve people. Tawakkul means relying on Allah while still making a sincere effort and accepting the outcome. We should protect our families by making salah central, avoiding major sins and harmful dealings, and teaching Islam through our example. The legacy we leave is the faith and integrity our children and grandchildren carry forward.
