For the dinner table

Jumu'ah is a gift: Allah brings us to His house so we can prepare to meet Him with a heart He is pleased with. The khutbah reminds us that faith is shown through deeds now, especially praying on time, keeping the Qur'an in our schedule, and turning back to Allah. Parents are asked to care for their children's deen as seriously as their education, clothes, and future. The speaker's simple homework is to read Qur'an with the family for about half an hour each day. We can begin at home, trusting Allah for guidance while doing our part.

  1. What helps us remember that Jumu'ah is a gift from Allah?
  2. When could our family read Qur'an together each day?
  3. How can we care for both our education and our deen?
