For the dinner table

The khateeb used rain and changing seasons to help us reflect on our own lives. We have times for rest, growth, stillness, and renewal, and we can use those changes to turn inward and think about who we are becoming. He reminded us to thank Allah for blessings such as health and shelter while remembering people facing hardship and making dua for them. He encouraged us to be people whose presence brings help and relief to others. He also reminded us that there is goodness in the people around us, even when we have not yet noticed it.

  3. What goodness have you noticed in someone whose background is different from yours?
