For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that getting too caught up in worldly things can make us forget Allah and our purpose. The khateeb explained that everyday things, like a car that takes us to the masjid, can help us draw closer to Him. He encouraged us to remember Allah, learn and teach our deen, and take responsibility for helping our children grow in faith. He reminded us to make time for Jumu’ah and keep remembering Allah when we return to our work and daily routines. As a family, we can choose one small way to follow the Prophet’s example in how we speak, give, and treat others.

  1. How could something you use every day help you remember Allah?
  2. What is one thing about our deen you would like us to learn together?
  3. What could help our family get ready earlier for Jumu’ah?
