Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Today’s khutbah reminded us to live with taqwa, meaning awareness of Allah, and to speak and act rightly. It connected obedience with forgiveness and success, and called us toward justice, kindness, family responsibility, and avoiding wrongdoing. Before salah, we were told to pray as though it were our last prayer, make room in the rows, stand closer when possible, and keep our intention only for Allah. These small acts can help us worship with more care and sincerity.
- What would change in our prayer if we truly treated it as our last one?
- How can we make more room, physically and kindly, for others at the mosque?
- What helps us keep an action sincere for Allah alone?
