For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Islam is a way of life that belongs in everything we do. The khateeb explained that our faith should guide our relationships, our money, and our choices throughout the week, alongside our prayers and fasting. He encouraged us to bring worship into our homes by praying some voluntary prayers there. When new technologies or ways of making money appear, he urged us to ask what Islam teaches about them. He also warned that always wanting more can harm our faith, reminding us to approach our choices thoughtfully and with religious guidance.

  1. What is one way your faith could guide how you treat someone tomorrow?
  2. What could we do together to bring more prayer into our home?
  3. When do you feel pulled to want more things, and what helps you feel content?
