For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah invited us to look at the sky and reflect on the greatness of Allah’s creation. The khateeb reminded us that Allah created and sustains everything, and that our lives have a purpose: to worship Him. He described the five daily prayers as a precious gift and encouraged us to give them time and attention. He also urged us to memorize the last two ayahs of Surah Baqarah and protect our belief in Allah alone. As a family, we can remember these lessons by noticing creation, approaching prayer with gratitude, and putting what we learn from the Quran into practice.

  1. What is something in the sky or in nature that makes you feel amazed by Allah’s creation?
  2. What could help us get ready for prayer without rushing?
