Today’s khutbah reminded us to overlook small annoyances so they do not take over our hearts and attention. Brother Ihab encouraged us to avoid spreading hurtful comments and to leave alone matters that do not concern us. He explained that reacting to every insult can leave us angry and distract us from our bigger goals. He also emphasized how much Islam values repairing relationships and bringing people closer together. In our family, friendships, and relationships with neighbors, we can practice forgiveness and take steps to make peace.
