For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that the Day of Judgment will be frightening, but Allah promises special shade to people who develop rare and beautiful qualities. These include being just in our responsibilities, loving worship while young, staying connected to the mosque, loving others for Allah’s sake, protecting our purity, giving charity sincerely, and remembering Allah privately. We should especially guard ourselves and our children from harmful entertainment and online relationships that exploit trust. This week, we can choose one quality to practice more intentionally, such as attending an extra prayer, giving hidden charity, or making private dua. The khutbah closes by asking Allah to forgive us, help suffering people, and grant us Paradise.
