For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that we can begin doing good today instead of waiting for Ramadan or a new year. We can be grateful for the worship we already do while still growing, learning a sunnah, or working to leave a harmful habit. He encouraged us to keep learning about our faith as we grow older and to understand what we recite in prayer, especially Surah Fatiha. He explained that seeking Allah's assistance goes together with making our own effort. He also spoke about young people's questions about faith and encouraged families to provide opportunities to learn from knowledgeable teachers, including through summer classes.

  1. Which words from salah would you like us to learn the meaning of together?
  2. What would help you feel comfortable asking a question about faith?
