Only Allah should fill the heart

In one sentence

Just as the Prophet Muhammad destroyed the physical idols of Arabia at the Conquest of Mecca, every Muslim must root out the hidden idols of fame, wealth, and power so that Allah alone occupies the heart.

The khutbah in 7 steps

  4. The mission to destroy al-Lat at Ta'if, carried out by Abu Sufyan and Mughirah ibn Shu'bah
  5. Khalid ibn al-Walid destroys al-Uzza in the valley of Nakhla and confronts the devilish apparition
  6. Turning to the Fatiha: every recitation is a declaration that only Allah deserves worship
