Disagreement need not become division
In one sentence
Muslims should treat sincere disagreement as natural, preserve brotherhood through mercy and shared scriptural standards, and actively repair rifts rather than turning differences into division.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“Islam never promised us A community, a society with no disagreement. What Islam gave us is the etiquette On how to handle these disagreements Without destroying each other in the process.”
“Assume sincerity first And reserve your energy For correcting with mercy Not humiliating with certainty”
“There is a difference between disagreement and division. Disagreement is natural. Two sincere people looking at the same evidence and coming to a different conclusion.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
Disagreement is a normal part of life, even among the best Muslims, but it should not destroy brotherhood. The khutbah teaches us to assume sincerity, return serious questions to the Qur'an and Sunnah, and correct people gently. We should not speak confidently about matters we have not learned, and sometimes peace means leaving an argument. If a relationship is strained, we should make the first move with salam and repair it within three days. The goal is not to erase every difference, but to carry differences with mercy.
- When have you seen a disagreement become division, and what could have changed the outcome?
- How can we correct someone while protecting their dignity?
- What is one strained relationship you could repair with salam this week?
