For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that Allah is greater than any prediction, formula, or worldly cause, while still asking us to work and take responsible means. It also asked us to notice the story our daily lives are telling: are we worshipping Allah and nurturing our souls, or only chasing comfort, productivity, and status? Our value is not measured by busyness or output; the soul needs purpose, meaning, and preparation to return to Allah. We can talk together about one routine that strengthens our spiritual life, one responsibility we need to approach with trust, and one way to care for others. The goal is to live as whole human beings by developing the world within while doing good in the world around us.
