For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah explained Surah al-Ma’un as a warning that belief in the Day of Judgment should shape how we treat people. A sincere believer cares for orphans and the poor, avoids cheating and stinginess, and does not pray carelessly or merely for appearance. We were encouraged to pray on time, slowly and attentively, learn the meanings of our adhkar, and pray in congregation when possible. The speaker also urged us to make small acts of charity and lending a habit until generosity feels natural. We should do good while humbly asking Allah to accept it, and remember people suffering in places such as Gaza and Sudan.
