For the dinner table

These first ten days of Dhul-Hajjah are a special opportunity to draw closer to Allah through prayer, fasting, charity, and remembering Him. The khutbah explained that Hajj and Umrah express our relationship with Allah as our Creator and our commitment to worship Him alone. That commitment is meant to continue after Eid, throughout our lives. We were reminded to be grateful for Allah’s many blessings, especially the blessing of faith, and to give our five daily prayers a central place in our day. Together, we can encourage one another to keep praying, seek Allah’s forgiveness, and remember people who are suffering in our duas.

  1. What is one good habit from these ten days that you would like our family to keep after Eid?
  2. Which blessing could you show gratitude for through something you do tomorrow?
  3. What could we do together to make praying on time easier?
