Allah asks us to keep family bonds because doing so is part of obeying Him. The khutbah reminded us that worship should make us kinder, more respectful, and more helpful to the people around us. We can strengthen family ties by calling relatives, visiting the sick, giving gifts, helping those in need, and repairing disagreements. These actions can bring barakah, or blessing, to our lives and communities. Every family member can begin by taking one sincere step toward someone they have neglected.
