For the dinner table

Allah asks us to care for family ties because He created us dependent on one another and commands us to honor the womb. The khateeb warned that ignored calls, postponed visits, and justified grudges remain our responsibility before Allah. He pointed to Cain and Abel, Yusuf's forgiveness, and Musa's request for Harun to show that family bonds matter even after pain and that family can bring divine help. Real faith means reconnecting even when we do not expect anything back. This week we can call, visit, forgive, and ask Allah to heal the relationships we have neglected.

  1. Who in our family might appreciate a call or visit this week?
  2. What does forgiveness look like when someone has hurt us?
  3. How can we maintain a family connection without expecting anything in return?
