For the dinner table

As the Islamic year comes to an end, the khateeb invited us to reflect on what we have done for Allah and how we have cared for our families. He reminded us to respect people across differences in background and wealth and to live together in peace. He encouraged us to stay close to the Quran and the Sunnah and to respect scholars whose guidance agrees with them. Giving is about more than money, even a beautiful smile can be sadaqa. He also reminded us that Allah rewards sincere intentions when we are unable to carry out a good deed, giving us hope as we prepare for a new beginning.

  1. What is one way you could help someone tomorrow without spending money?
