The khutbah teaches that Allah looks not only at what we do, but also at why we do it. A good deed done for praise may lose its reward, while ordinary activities like sleeping, working, eating, and caring for family can become worship when done with sincere intentions. We should regularly check our motives and renew them for Allah. One simple way is to set reminders and pause during the day to ask what we are trying to achieve.

  1. What is one daily activity you could turn into worship by changing your intention?
  2. How can you tell when you are doing something for Allah rather than for people’s praise?
  3. What reminder would help you remember your intention tomorrow?
