This khutbah teaches that tawakkul means trusting Allah completely while still taking responsible steps. The speaker reminds us that the early Muslims endured hunger and persecution without losing hope because they relied on Allah, not only on visible circumstances. Anxiety grows when we treat our plans, abilities, or resources as if they control the future; Allah alone knows the unseen and controls outcomes. We should learn about Allah, believe in His decree, use lawful means, and ask Him for help. The goal is not always getting exactly what we want, but trusting that Allah can bring the better outcome and reward that trust in the Hereafter.

  1. What is one situation where we can make an effort and then leave the outcome to Allah?
  2. How can we tell the difference between planning wisely and worrying as if we control everything?
  3. Which quality of Allah helps you feel calmer about the future?
