For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us to make time for Allah even when life feels busy, including answering the call to prayer throughout the week. It encouraged us to build a closer relationship with the Quran by studying its meaning and putting what we learn into practice. Everyday things like learning, working, and caring for others can be part of worship when we do them with an intention directed toward Allah. Our worth does not depend on fame or how many people notice us. As a family, we can support one another in making time for the Quran and bringing sincere purpose to our daily actions.

  1. What could help you pause a favorite activity when it is time to pray?
