Spiritual intelligence comes through living the Quran
“The Qur'an is a journey, and we really need to do hafiz that leads to tadabbur.”
True spiritual intelligence comes not from easy technological shortcuts but from living the Qur'an through covenant-keeping, family ties, reverence, patience, prayer, generosity, and responding to harm with goodness.

In the khateeb's words
“So nothing is easy. You see, A-I is easy. But S-I meets perseverance and patience.”
“The Qur'an is a journey, and we really need to do hafiz that leads to tadabbur.”
For the dinner table
Today the khateeb talked about artificial intelligence. Many people love it because it makes things easy, but he reminded us that the path to Jannah is not easy. It takes effort and patience. He said Allah teaches a different kind of intelligence, a spiritual one, and Surah Ar-Ra'd describes the people who have it, called 'ulul albab', with eight qualities: they keep their promises to Allah, keep family ties, feel awe of Allah, fear the Day of Judgement, stay patient for Allah's sake, establish salah, give in charity both secretly and openly, and answer bad with good. He told us about his daughter, who is still treated badly by strangers after being hurt in a car accident and who answers them kindly every time. Allah promises that people who live these qualities will enter Jannah with their parents, spouses and children, with the angels greeting them with peace. He also asked us to live the Qur'an once we leave the masjid, and not only recite it.
- Which of the eight qualities of 'people of real intelligence' do you think is hardest for kids your age, and why?
- If someone was mean to you tomorrow, what is one good thing you could do in return?
- What is one promise you made this week that you want to keep, even though it is hard?
